Friday, April 21, 2017 8:33 AM
AHA is asking hospitals, local and state auxiliary organizations, state DVS groups and volunteer departments to support the American Hospital Association on June 9 for #HAVhope Friday: A National Day of Awareness.
The AHA Board of Trustees launched an association-wide initiative “Hospitals Against Violence” to focus on addressing violence within the hospital walls and in their communities. To that end, June 9 is designated as #HAVhope Friday : A National Day of Awareness to unite hospitals, health systems, volunteers, nurses, doctors and other professionals from across the country, as well the local andstate organizations they work with, to focus national attention on ending violence through a digital media campaign.
Visit www.aha.org/preventviolence for details on how to get involved. Support involves sharing photos of your colleagues and community supporters holding hands, along with a short description of your commitment to combating violence through social media using #HAVhope. Download the AHA’s digital toolkit to assist in your campaign.
