Twenty Kentucky hospitals have already utilized the KHA Board Self-Assessment Survey and
found it provides tremendous feedback to the CEO and opportunities to
enhance their board. Learn how it can help your hospital or system!
The Board Self-Assessment Survey is an online survey that can be
distributed to your board in order to identify where its strengths lie
as well as where improvement may be needed.
There are two sections of the Self-Assessment survey – the board assessment
and the personal evaluation. The board assessment allows each board member
to answer a set of standard questions and up to three customizable questions about
the board as a whole.
You can survey your board on a selection of subject areas (e.g., fiduciary role, governance and leadership effectiveness, etc.). You can also remove or add any of the questions within those categories that you
see fit – the survey can be completely customized to meet your needs.

of their own strengths and opportunities as a contributing member of the
After your board members complete the surve,y the system will automatically
generate a set of feedback reports (see Sample Reports). The
feedback reports even have a Peer Group and National Benchmark comparison
KHA is offering the assessment to critical access hospitals, rural
hospitals (under 100 beds) and specialty hospitals for $500,
acute care hospitals (over 100 beds) for $1,000 and health care systems
