KHA Welcomes Two New Team Members

Two new team members recently joined the KHA staff — Phil Brandenburg, Director of Data Analytics, and Carla Donnell, Director of Patient Safety, Quality/Health Professions.
Phil Brandenburg has 16 years experience in health care, 14 years experience in health care data
analysis and ten years experience as a user of KHA InfoSuite. Phil was a beta tester for the current version and is considered a super user of the product. He has also trained numerous analysts and planning personnel.
Phil is a Navy Aviation veteran and a native of Kentucky, who received his MBA in Management and a BBA in Computer Information Systems from Eastern Kentucky University. Additionally, he received a BS in Health Care Management from the University of Southern Illinois at Carbondale.
Phil will oversee KHA InfoSuite, the online data decision support system available to KHA members for obtaining information from KHA’s statewide inpatient and outpatient Limited Data Set. He can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org or 502-992-4340.
Carla Donnell, MSN, RN, is an energetic nursing leader with 23 years experience in leading the development and implementation of evidence-based practices by creating system initiatives from the “ground up." Carla has positively impacted the quality of patient care by functioning as a leader, consultant, educator and change agent. She was a critical care nurse for 8 years, a critical care educator for seven year and has been an ACLS and BLS Instructor for 20 years.
Carla earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1997 from Spalding University and a Master of Science in Nursing in 2012 from Bellarmine University.
