The Immunization Action Coalition (IAC) is recognizing outstanding examples of influenza vaccination mandates in health care settings. According to IAC, the best way to prevent transmission of influenza to patients is to mandate vaccination of health care personnel. The Influenza Vaccination Honor Roll represents the champions who have taken the lead in mandating influenza vaccination within their organization or institution.

Methodist Hospital in Henderson is the only hospital or health system in Kentucky that is listed on the Honor Roll, http://www.immunize.org/honor-roll/influenza-mandates/honorees.asp#ky.

Kentucky hospitals can apply to be listed on this Honor Roll at http://www.immunize.org/honor-roll/influenza-mandates/apply.aspx....
