The Kentucky Hospital Association, in partnership with the American Heart Association, is providing a webinar series for small and rural hospitals with the goal to provide rural hospitals with a clinical update on improving recognition, treatment and sometimes transfer of stroke patients in a timely manner. Rural hospital emergency department staff and other nurses and physicians involved in the care of potential stroke patients are invited to attend.

State Auditor Adam Edelen will hold a press conference on Monday, March 30 to release a Special Report on the Financial Strength of Rural Hospitals in Kentucky. The Auditor will also hold a number of community meetings regionally in April to discuss the report in more detail.
